According to Decision No. 20/QĐ-HĐGSNN, dated July 5, 2023, of the Vietnamese State Council for Professorship, the Dalat University Journal of Science is recognized as of July 2023 in ten disciplinary/interdisciplinary fields for articles published by the journal (Table 1).

In addition, the Dalat University Journal of Science also meets the standards of Decision No. 251/QĐ-HĐQL-NAFOSTED, dated December 11, 2019, of the National Foundation for Science and Technology Development (NAFOSTED) – the Ministry of Science and Technology – to become one of 13 prestigious Vietnamese national journals in the field of economics.. Previously, the journal was recognized as one of 10 prestigious Vietnamese national journals in the field of physics by NAFOSTED, according to Decision No. 95/QĐ-HĐQL-NAFOSTED, dated December 30, 2021.

Dalat University Journal of Science (ISSN: 0866-787X) is a multidisciplinary research journal, published since 2010 under the License for Printing Press Operation No. 689/GP-BTTTT dated May 17, 2010, and number 413/GP-BTTTT dated August 16, 2016 of the Ministry of Information and Communications. The Dalat University Journal of Science (ISSN: 0866-787X) is a multidisciplinary scholarly journal published since 2010 under journalistic licenses No. 689/GP-BTTTT, dated May 17, 2010, and No. 413/GP-BTTTT, dated August 16, 2016, of the Vietnamese Ministry of Information and Communications. The Dalat University Journal of Science, as the successor to the Dalat University Scientific Bulletin (Thông báo Khoa học Đại học Đà Lạt) established in 1984, has nearly 40 years of development, tradition, and prestige. The Journal periodically publishes four issues a year, with research works in the fields of science and technology in three Journals: Social Sciences and Humanities; Natural Science and Technology; Economics and Management.

The Dalat University Journal of Science has been indexed in the ASEAN Citation Index (ACI) since 2017, and is one of the first six Vietnamese scholarly journals to achieve that distinction. According to statistics from the Vietnamese State Council for Professorship, Vietnam currently has more than 600 scholarly journals of all disciplines, of which only 26 are indexed in the ACI. The Dalat University Journal of Science is also the only multidisciplinary scholarly journal in Vietnam to be approved as an official member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (since 2018) and was awarded the DOAJ Seal in 2020.
