On the afternoon of January 13, Da Lat University held ta meeting to celebrate Lunar New Year and gave gifts to students who were far from home and could not return to their hometown to celebrate Tet.

The programme was co-organized by the Department of Politics and Student Services and the HCM Communist Youth Union of Dalat University. This year, 43 students stayed at the university’s residence hall to celebrate Tet. At the same time, Lam Dong Provincial Youth Union presented 39 gifts to students celebrating Tet away from home of the University.

Vice President of Dalat University – Mr. Tran Thong said: “Every year when the Lunar New Year comes, most students go back to their hometown to reunite with their families, but there are some students who, due to difficult circumstances, do not have the conditions to go back home, so they stay in Da Lat to work to earn money to pay for school. Therefore, Da Lat University organizes the programme“Warm Lunar New Year” to encourage students”.

Student Hua Huyen Trang said emotionally: “Welcoming the Lunar New Year away from home is something no one wants, but we have the support and love of the lecturers and benefactors so that we can have a warm Tet. This encourages us a lot, we will try to study well in the new year to repay the love of the teachers.”
