(Lam Dong online) – With 40 years of establishment and development, the Dalat University Faculty of Literature and History is one of the famous Literature – History training and research institutions in the Central Highlands region, contributing not only in training and research but also in many fields of social activities.
On the afternoon of December 31, 2022, the Dalat University Faculty of Literature and History solemnly held the 40th anniversary ceremony (1982 – 2022). Attending the ceremony were Dr. Le Minh Chien – Secretary of the Party Committee, President of Dalat University, along with the professors and associate professors from the North and the South, who were visiting lecturers at the Faculty, also attended the ceremony.
At the ceremony, a large number of support staff, lecturers, former lecturers, alumni, and students of the Dalat University Faculty of Literature and History gathered together to recall the proud 40-year journey of the faculty.
Established in 1982, over the past 40 years, the Dalat University Faculty of Literature and History has trained tens of thousands of bachelors, masters and doctorates for the Central Highlands region in particular and the country in general. Therefore, the lecturers and students of the Dalat University Faculty of Literature and History have the right to be proud of what lecturers and students of the faculty have achieved on the path of research, teaching, studying, and dedicating to the homeland and the country. For many years, the Faculty of Literature and History has been an excellent collective and has been awarded certificates of merit by the Ministry of Education and Training many times.
Currently, the faculty has a team of highly qualified lecturers, including: 2 associate professors, 15 PhDs and the remaining lecturers all have master’s degrees. The faculty is in the top of the school in terms of the proportion of highly qualified lecturers.
Speaking at the celebration, Dr. Le Minh Chien – President of Dalat University, affirmed: Faculty of Literature and History is one of the faculties with the longest history of the university. For many years, generations of staff, lecturers, and students of the faculty have made unremitting efforts in teaching, learning, research, technology transfer, and fulfilling their responsibilities to the community and country. The Faculty has made great contributions to the cause of education and training, being one of the pioneers and leading units in training innovation, improving the quality of vocational education. Thereby, the faculty has become one of the important factors contributing to the development of Dalat University today.
Looking back on the past 40 years, lecturers and students of the Faculty of Literature and History today will continue to inherit and develop values and traditions to become a prestigious Literature – History training institution of the Central Highlands.
On this occasion, the Dalat University Faculty of Literature and History, also published the book “Literature and History Issues” consisting of 2 volumes: Volume 1 – “Literature and Journalism Issues” and Volume 2 – “Historical and Cultural Issues”. In addition, the Faculty also published the Proceedings “Memories of Alumni of the Faculty of Literature and History throughout 40 years (1982 – 2022)”.
