On 13 June 2022, the external assessment team of the Centre for Education Accreditation, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, conducted a preliminary survey to assess the quality of educational programmes in Sociology and Social Work, International Studies, Law, English Language, and Tourism and Travel Service Management at the undergraduate level at Dalat University (according to Circular 04/2016/TT-BGDD).
The members of the external assessment team participating in this survey include Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Hong, Vice President of Nguyen Tat Thanh University and Head of the delegation; Mr. Ho Dac Hai Mien (MSc.), Deputy Director of the Centre for Education Accreditation, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City; Mr. Hoang Tho Phu (MSc.), Lecturer, Former Vice Dean of the Faculty of Finance and Banking, University of Economics and Law, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City; and Mr. Lam Tuong Thoai (MSc.), Head of the Department of Emulation and Commendation, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City.
During the working day, the external assessment team surveyed the campus, facilities, and conditions for working, studying, teaching, and conducting research of support staff, lecturers, and students at the offices of five academic departments: Sociology and Social Work, International Studies, Law Studies, Foreign Languages, and Tourism, and the University’s centres and library. At the same time, the delegation preliminarily inspected the preparation for the official survey.
At the end of the meeting, the representative of the external assessment team, the Centre for Education Accreditation of Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, and Dr. Le Minh Chien, President of Dalat University, signed the ‘memorandum of understanding on the preliminary survey of the external assessment team’ for the five educational programmes. President Le Minh Chien thanked the external evaluation team for their objective assessment and emphasised that the assessments in the preliminary survey are necessary for Dalat University to better prepare for the official survey scheduled for June 22–26, 2022.
