On September 21, at Dalat University, a large number of candidates and their families came to complete the admission procedures for full-time undergraduate students of the 46th class. Candidates come from many provinces and cities across the country; in which, a lot of candidates are high school graduates at high schools in Lam Dong province.
Le Vu Thuy Vy, a student at Tay Son Middle and High School (Dalat City) who got in the Tourism and Travel Management major, accompanied her mother to do the admission procedures, and said the reason for choosing this major is because she lives in a famous tourist city, so hopefully after graduation, it will be easy for her to get a job near home as desired.
Nguyen Trung Hien was a student at Huynh Thuc Khang High School (Lam Ha district) and wishes to pursue the agriculture major, which is also one of the key industries in Lam Dong province. Trung Hien got accepted into the Agronomy programme with a transcript score of 24.85 points.
Many candidates who came to Dalat for the first time were very surprised by the beauty of nature and the cool fresh air. Hoang Khanh Chi from Phan Rang – Thap Cham city (Ninh Thuan province) got into the Food Technology programme by means of high school academic transcripts with a total score of 24.25 points, saying: “I just came here to complete the admission procedures. I haven’t been to Dalat University much, but I feel that the university is very large and beautiful, the climate here is very cool.”
Pham Thi Doan Trinh from Khanh Hoa province got into the Law programme by the same mean of academic transcripts with a total score of 25.25 points, and initially felt very excited because she had met her desire to attend university.
The admission council of Dalat University said that in the 2022 – 2023 school year, the school will have 41 full-time undergraduate programmes, belonging to three sectors: Social Sciences – Humanities, Natural Sciences – Technology , Economics – Law – Tourism – Foreign Languages – Education; in which, 2 new programmes are Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Criminal Law and Criminal Procedure. The total enrollment target is 2,850 students.
Currently, the school’s dormitories also reserve 150 places for new students. In the 2021 – 2022 school year, Dalat University exceeded the enrollment target by more than 100%, although the benchmark scores in some majors were higher than the previous year. In the 2022 – 2023 school year, the highest benchmark scores belongs to some education majors, with scores ranging from 27.0 to 28.0 (academic transcripts method) and from 25.0 to 26.0 (high school graduation test method).
The work of welcoming and guiding students who came to do admission procedures for the 46th class is implemented smoothly, thoughtfully, friendly and conveniently by the leaders of the University and the departments, faculties, the HCM Communist Youth Union, and the Vietnam National Union of Students.
