The Vietnam Citation Gateway (V-CitationGate) of Vietnam National University, Hanoi has just announced the Rankings of Impact Factor (IF) of Vietnamese academic journals in 2020. Accordingly, the Dalat University Journal of Science ranked 35th with an IF index of 0.145.
Every two years, on the occasion of Vietnam Science and Technology Day (May 18), Vietnam National University Hanoi will publish the Rankings of Citation Indexes of Vietnamese academic journals published online. The year 2020 is the first time V-CitationGate has published the evaluation of Vietnamese academic journals according to the Impact Factor and H-index according to international practices. Impact Factor is calculated through the number of citations in 2020 of articles published in 5 years (2015-2019). Meanwhile, the H-index measures the integration level between publication productivity (number of published works) and publication quality (number of citations).
According to , the Dalat University Journal of Science has an H-index of 3, a 5-years IF of 0.145 and ranks 35th out of 83 journals evaluated by V-CitationGate. According to information from V-CitationGate, Vietnam currently has more than 600 journals, of which about 400 journals are scored by the State Council for Professor of Viet Nam for research works. To date, there are about 115/600 journals (19.1%) published online, of which only 83 journals have relatively standardised websites, compatible with international databases and indexed online in the V-CitationGate system.
The Dalat University Journal of Science (ISSN: 0866-787X) is a multidisciplinary academic journal, published since 2010 under the License for Printing Press Operation No. 689/GP-BTTTT dated May 17, 2010, and number 413/GP-BTTTT dated August 16, 2016 of the Ministry of Information and Communications. The Dalat University Journal of Science has undergone a journey of more than 30 years of formation and development as the successor to the tradition and prestige of the Dalat University Scientific Bulletin, which was published since 1990.
