On the morning of August 27, 2022, Dalat University held a meeting with Daegu Haany University (Korea) to discuss the possibility of exchange and cooperation between the two units.

Attending the meeting, on the side of Dalat University, there were Mr. Tran Thong (MSc.) – Vice President, together with representatives of the Department of Research Affair and International Relations, Department of Undergraduate Academic Affairs, Faculty of International Studies, Faculty of Biology, Faculty of Agriculture and Forestry, Faculty of Chemistry and Environment and Centre for Entrepreneurship Facilitation. On the side of Daegu Haany University, there were Dr. Byun Chang Hoon – President, Mr. Yang Hee Yong, Head of Department of International Relations, and Mr. Park Dong Woo, staff of Special Secondary Education.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Tran Thong, on behalf of the Executive Board of Dalat University sent greetings to the delegation of Daegu Haany University. The Vice President briefly introduced the history of establishment and development, organisational structure, ongoing projects and achievements that the University has achieved in recent times. At the same time, the Vice President also expressed his desire to establish a cooperative relationship of the two units.

In response to that goodwill, Dr. Byun Chang Hoon expressed his delight at the warm welcome of Dalat University. The President shared that Daegu Haany University is a university that has strengths in Eastern medicine products such as Oriental medicine, Oriental cosmetics, etc. Therefore, he wants to cooperate with Dalat University to provide educational programmes in this industry, as well as cooperate with businesses and organizations to create jobs for the university’s students after graduation.

The two sides highly appreciate the establishment of a cooperative relationship and hope that the contents of the meeting will be a premise for the two sides to continue to learn, exchange, discuss in more depth and detail and move forward signing a Memorandum of Understanding in the near future.
