After a period of discussion, on the afternoon of July 6, 2022, Dalat University signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Ho Chi Minh City University of Education with the goal of enhancing cooperation and sharing experience in university administration, joint education, human resource retraining, research and technology transfer to meet the development goals of the two universities.
Attending the ceremony, on the side of Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, there were Dr. Nguyen Thi Minh Hong – Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the Board of Trustees; Prof. Dr. Huynh Van Son – President; Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Trung – Vice President, and leaders of departments: Department of Science, Technology and Environment – Journal of Science, Department of Undergraduate Academic Affairs, Department of Postgraduate Academic Affairs, Centre for Student Support and Entrepreneurship Facilitation, HCM Communist Youth Union, Department of Political Affairs and Student Services, ETEP Office.
On the side of Dalat University, there were the attendance of Dr. Le Minh Chien – Secretary of the Party Committee, President; Dr. Nguyen Van Vinh – Chairman of the Board of Trustees; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Tat Thang – Vice President; Mr. Tran Thong (MSc.) – Vice President, and leaders of departments and faculties of the University.
Speaking at the ceremony, President Le Minh Chien and President Huynh Van Son both expressed their gratitude about the signing of Memorandum of Understanding between the two universities. Besides briefly introducing the history of establishment and development, the outstanding achievements of the two universities in the past time, both Presidents shared that this cooperation has the purpose to promote the strengths of the two sides in order to develop the national education system in the direction of diversifying education types and meeting the needs of society. At the same time, the leaders of the two universities also agreed to concretise the Memorandum of Understanding into specific tasks and programmes for implementation, and have an annual review and evaluation as a basis for making specific plans in the following years.
In order to establish a comprehensive cooperation relationship between Dalat University and Ho Chi Minh City University of Education, the two sides signed a Memorandum of Understanding on 03 main missions including: (1) University administration; (2) Training and retraining; (3) Research and technology transfer. In each field of work, the two Universities will conduct specific cooperation activities such as: Organising training sessions and conferences between experts of the two Universities; Cooperating in the quality assessment of educational programmes according to current standards; Implementing the exchange programme of lecturers; Organising seminars on teaching and consulting for learners; Coordinating in building and developing regular educational programmes inside and outside the framework of the ETEP Programme; Discuss activities of the Journal of Science;…
After signing the MoU, the leaders of the two universities are responsible for directing their units, departments, and faculties to develop cooperative relationships according to each field, type of education, in accordance with the functions and tasks of each university.
