\u00a0 \u00a0On December 4, at the Conference room of Bidoup Nui Ba National Park, Dalat University cooperated with Bidoup Nui Ba National Park and Lam Dong Center for Application of Science & Technology to organize a research conference with the topic: \u201cResearch results on edible and medicinal mushrooms in Bidoup Nui Ba National Park, Lam Dong province\u201d. The conference is one of the activities of the project: “Research, conservation, and exploitation of species of edible mushrooms and medicinal mushrooms in Bidoup Nui Ba National Park, Lam Dong province”.<\/p>\n

Attending the conference, there were representatives of the government, hosting agencies, coordinating agencies, domestic and foreign scientists, enterprises, and households cultivating and trading mushrooms in Lam Dong province.<\/p>\n

The conference presented 3 studies, the first was a study on statistics of edible and medicinal mushrooms in Bidoup Nui Ba National Park and surrounding areas, presented by Dr. Nguyen Van Giang. The study reported the following results. The total number of mushroom species is 95 species, in which there are 52 species of edible mushrooms, 43 species of medicinal mushrooms, belonging to 32 families, 11 orders, 2 classes, and 2 branches.<\/p>\n

The second study by Mr. Le Viet Ngoc presented the investigation of edible and medicinal mushroom species in Bidoup Nui Ba National Park. As a result, 41 species of 19 genera and 13 families were recorded. Among them, there are 28 species of edible mushrooms and 13 species of medicinal mushrooms. Among these, there are species of high scientific value such as lion’s mane mushroom, beefsteak fungus, etc. It is necessary to focus on collecting species of Shiitake and Ganoderma colossus mushrooms.<\/p>\n

The third study by Dr. Le Ngoc Trieu presented the selection of valuable edible and medicinal mushrooms in Bidoup Nui Ba National Park. Through the conference, the organizers have identified the species of fungi that are in the cases of very endangered, endangered, will be endangered and not yet endangered and classified the species with nutritional and medicinal value and predicted the possibility of their development in the market.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0During the conference, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Xuan Tham – Mushroom research expert also gave a speech on Shiitake mushrooms. He also made valuable contributions to the conference.<\/p>\n

\u00a0 \u00a0The conference presented the role and importance of edible mushrooms and medicinal mushrooms in human life, the development vision of mushroom business households and the development of socio-economic policies in Lam Dong province and pointed out the current status and urgency in the conservation of fungal genetic resources in Bidoup Nui Ba National Park.<\/p>\n
